15 January 2007: Université Laval Wins the 26th John Molson MBA International Case Competition
MONTREAL, January 15, 2007 - After four days of intense competition, only 3 of 36 teams of MBA students remained. They were competing Saturday in the final round of the 26th Annual John Molson MBA International Case Competition, where they presented their strategic solutions to a business case involving Research in Motion, manufacturer of the PDA BlackBerry, with focus on the company’s penetration on the Chinese market.
The Competition winners were announced during the closing banquet sponsored by Bombardier. The final results are as follows:
- 1st Place
- Université Laval (Exportation Development Canada $10,000 Bursary)
- 2nd Place
- HEC Montreal ($7000)
- 3rd Place
- Universität Paderborn ($5000)
This Competition, which is the world’s oldest, largest and most prestigious competition of its kind, was once again described as a true success by organizers, judges, sponsors and participants from all over the world.
